Born and raised in Mexico City, it did not take much to embrace the possibility to move out of the city and make Los Cabos his home.

After the experience of purchasing his first apartment in Los Cabos, it was simple to decide that Real Estate would be the profession to follow.

Bernard was invited to join Cactus Realty, one of Los Cabos original real estate companies, in 1989, but as a requirement from the broker, and rightly so, the legalities to transfer title and close on a property had to be learned prior to going out and representing buyers or sellers in any Real Estate negotiation. Learning the back end and legalities of sales where foreigners were involved, resulted in a high degree of the trust and understanding from clients from that day forward.

After years of successfully representing both purchasers and sellers in general residential sales, Bernard explored development sales and the requirements to do so on pre-construction. This stage of experience took him to join Puerto Los Cabos in 2003 and in 2004 designed the development’s broker program. Working hand in hand with the developers for the marketing and initial offerings of Puerto Los Cabos, Bernard was also involved in the legalities to pre-sale the home-sites, setting up Escrows while subdivisions and condominium regimes were registered and title insurance as to finally set up the closing and title transfer process to all sales executed.
By 2008, the sales generated from the Puerto Los Cabos broker program exceeded the developer’s expectations and goals set, and allowed Bernard the opportunity to take a year sabbatical to dedicate time to his family and new born daughter.

From 2009 to the end of 2014, Bernard worked with the teams of Dream Homes of Cabo and then Snell Real Estate as a specialist of Puerto Los Cabos for the re-sale of home-sites and homes which eventually lead to the personal project of opening Baja Views Real Estate.

Asides from the on the filed experience, Bernard is currently a Board member of the MLS BCS, and a member of the National Association of Realtor (NAR/US) of which he has has completed the following certification courses: CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and the RSPS (Resort and Second Home Property Specialist).
